Russia’s Rosmorport is probably wishing it did more of the latter after it fixed its 12,500-gt cruise-ferry Georg Ots (built 1980) to Chinese interests who claimed they needed the ship for a new ferry service between Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The story, as told in Russian news reports, ended in disaster. The ship was fixed for two years to a newly formed Chinese company in January 2013.
