The port, which has bulk, car, cruise and ferry terminals, is backing the Soundwaves 2014 concert. The event is set to feature live performances by Scottish supergroup Texas, recently reformed girl band All Saints, chart-topping singer Gabrielle and South Tyneside soul star Lulu James.
The concert will be held at Bents Park, South Shields, on Saturday 23 August.
The Port of Tyne is sponsoring the event as part of a commitment to supporting the arts, business and communities within its operating area.
