The unnamed executive used Brynildsen’s funds as his own for six to seven years and, when a report on the matter was presented towards the end of 2012, the director resigned with immediate effect.
Brynildsen’s lawyer, Jorgen Stang Heffermehl, says the police were notified.
The former managing director tried to make amends by selling houses and cabins and, consequently, received a reduced sentence, according to Heffermehl.
