The 39,000-dwt bulkers are set for delivery this year from China’s Zhoushan Changhong Shipyard and are said to have fetched $22.2m each. Online platform VesselsValue.com says the ships are worth $20.2m apiece.
The identity of the new owner is unclear.
New Yangtze is also listed as having two 64,000-dwt bulkers at the yard for delivery next year. It also has two handysize bulkers built in 2011 and 2013 and a handymax bulker built in 2013, all from Chinese yards.
