Another week and another global liner shipping alliance has been announced. This time, CMA CGM, China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL) and United Arab Shipping Co (UASC) have teamed up to form “Ocean Three” (see Boxships, page 24). The trio follow in the footsteps of the 2M alliance, which was cobbled together when the alternative P3 tie-up was blocked, and the longer-standing G6 and CKYHE partnerships.
