Golar LNG has taken delivery of two more LNG carrier newbuildings as the weak trading market continues.
Brokers say the company has entered its “creature-themed” shipping phase after receiving the 160,000-cbm Golar Penguin and sistership Golar Bear from Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI).
The two new recruits join their sisters Golar Seal, plus newbuildings Golar Celsius and Golar Crystal (all built 2013), from Golar’s original 13-vessel haul, which have been trading spot since their deliveries.
