Industry sources say “very sensitive negotiations” are underway in connection with FSRU Golar Freeze, which is not due to end its charter with Dusup until May 2020.
One spoke of a group of potential charterers who were recently encountered being entertained onboard the vessel.
Dusup officials say they would “not be making any comment” on the future of the Golar Freeze.
Golar says it will continue to support Dusup’s “efforts to maximise the utilisation of the Golar Freeze for the remainder of the contractual period”.
