Italian bulker and tanker owner Premuda is close to landing a charter deal worth more than $47m with oil major Shell for two ice-class aframax tankers, say TradeWinds sources.
The Samsung-built, 114,000-dwt Stena Atlantica and Stena Arctica (both built 2006) are set to be fixed for three years to Shell at $22,000 per day per tanker.
The pair will shortly be coming off long-term charters to Stena Bulk of Sweden.
