Constantine Angelopoulos-controlled Arcadia is already set to double its suezmax fleet with four new 159,000-dwt units booked at HHI in the summer for a reported $68m each. According to the company’s website, the quartet is set for delivery in 2016 and 2017.
But a market source says Arcadia has decided to waive an option for two more suezmaxes at the yard, letting slip a deadline at the end of September.
