Deeks handed over the helm to current president and chief executive Stan Galanski in 2002 but, at 75 years of age, is still a director of the “A”-rated group.
Galanski was in London for the P&I anniversary and says Navigators remains firmly focused on the marine market, which still accounts for about one-third of business.
Navigators is one of the leading US marine underwriters and continues to be one of a declining number interested in the ocean marine hull market.
