US-listed McDermott will handle transport, installation and pre-commissioning in relation to the BTJT-A wellhead jacket, topsides and subsea pipeline tie-ins. It will also handle pre-commissioning for export and infield pipelines.
All offshore installation work will be carried out by McDermott’s 128-metre heavylift pipelayer DB30 (built 1975, upgraded 2013), which has a 2,800-ton main crane and accommodation for 303 personnel.
No value has been revealed for the contract, which is expected to be completed by the first quarter of next year.
