BP Shipping has selected DSME as its preferred shipbuilder to construct up to eight LNG carrier newbuildings.
Industry sources say the shipping arm of the energy major has firmed up six slots with the South Korean yard worth in excess of $200m each. The company originally tendered for up to eight vessels, so it is expected to have secured at least two options.
