Dubai-based tanker player Cavalier Enterprises and Mauritius-based dry bulk company Crest Maritime Chartering have their eye on long-term contracts with domestic charterers.
Cavalier chartering manager Manisha Taneja says the company currently has three small coastal tankers of between 10,000 dwt and 20,000 dwt on charter to Indian state-owned oil refiners. But she adds that it is looking to negotiate more contracts that will enable it to deploy more tankers along the Indian coast.
