Lomar, the shipmanagement arm of the Libra group, is upping the stakes in the containership sector with an $80m raid on five panamax vessels from the German KG (limited partnership) market.
The London-based group has purchased four 5,000-teu ships for a en-bloc price in the region of $66m, its largest containerships to date and its first move into this sector of the market.
