Scorpio Tankers is keeping its products tankers away from the period charter market as a large spread separates charterer’s bids and the rates owners are after, said president Robert Bugbee this week.
The decision to stick to the spot market follows a summer that saw New York-listed Scorpio extend a number of term charters in its fleet. Those deals stopped flowing in September.
