A Turkish shipping company claims it has become the innocent pawn trapped in the middle of a squabble between Turkish exporters and Yemeni receivers of a cargo of construction-grade steel bars.
Ince Shipping Group’s 45,600-dwt Ince Atlantic (built 2001) arrived in the Yemeni city of Aden on 13 February to start a partial discharge of its cargo but has been under arrest since late April when a local court issued a judgment that it should be detained.
