The 160,000-cbm Golar Seal (built 2013) also arrived in the port with a shipment of LNG from Norway’s Snohvit project to deliver the first cargo to the unit.
The FSRU, which is on long-term charter to Klaipedos Nafta, is scheduled to start commercial operations in December. It is expected to be used to import around one billion cbm (bcm) of gas in its first year of operation.
