The Tsuneishi-built, 76,000-dwt Mulberry Wilton (built 2004) has gone to a Greek buyer for $14.6m, roughly in line with market expectations. The ship was put up for sale last month.
It had been relet very profitably by Golden Ocean to a Spanish cement producer at $51,250 per day until the end of 2011.
But after the market collapsed at the end of 2008, the Spanish company, in February 2009, cancelled the charter.
