UK stock-listed BG Group’s requirements for fresh LNG carrier tonnage could extend to up to 30 units.
Talk is rumbling around the market that BG has been speaking to shipowners about its upcoming needs on LNG shipping.
One source suggests BG may return to two of its favoured charterers — Maran Gas Maritime and GasLog — for initial tonnage but thereafter may be open to taking in tonnage on charter from other shipowners.
