George Economou is mixing up his public and private shipping empires for a new tanker initial public offering (IPO) in New York.
The Greek shipowner has created Tankships Investment Holdings as a spin-off from publicly quoted DryShips, and aims to eventually own at least 30 ships.
It will start with four suezmaxes and six aframaxes totalling more than 1.3 million dwt.
