SCI poised to sell aframax as it looks to raise more cash

The owner is set to sell the 94,500-dwt Jawaharlal Nehru (built 1990) in the next few weeks, in line with its recent policy of offloading older assets to raise cash.

It is estimated the Cochin-built aframax could fetch around $7.85m for demolition, according to online valuation platform VesselsValue.com.

SCI sold sistership Motilal Nehru (built 1990) in December 2013 for scrapping at an undisclosed price.
