Jadroplov markets veteran bulker in renewal move

Croatian owner Jadroplov is looking to sell one of its oldest bulkers as part of a fleet renewal, according to sources.

The Split-built, 42,000-dwt Mosor (built 2001) is currently lying in Cadiz, Spain, where it is available for inspection. The ship has been in the company’s fleet since it was new and is likely to fetch $8m to $9m.

TradeWinds was unable to obtain a comment from Jadroplov.

The Mosor would be the first ship to be sold by the company since it disposed of the 2,324-teu containership MSC Pride (built 1996) in April 2010 for $8.5m
