Shetty’s Allcargo purchased Belgian logistics company Ecu-Line in 2005, giving it a strong presence in the port of Antwerp. The acquisition was also a step in propelling Allcargo, which he set up in 1993, into a company said to be the second most important player in less than container load (LCL) groupage in the world. It now has 142 branches in 62 countries.
