Concern had grown that Meyer Werft might shift production over to new company Meyer Turku — formed after the acquisition of the STX Finland facility last year — in a deal that placed it as the world’s largest cruiseship builder.
But the company signed an agreement with union IG Metall in January to carry on at Papenburg for another 15 years.
