The seller is said to be Germany’s Bartels Reederei.
Yakamoz did not respond to an e-mailed request to clarify if it was the buyer, while Bartels declined to comment. Several sources told TradeWinds last week that the ship had been sold to Turkish interests.
A purchase of the Jessica B would signal an entry into the boxship sector for the Istanbul-based company.
