Lines expect to start clearing the backlog of cargoes and begin reinstalling services to the US West Coast (USWC) after the nine-month labour dispute, which had disrupted sailing schedules and boosted the charter market.
The potential disruption became clear last week with the announcement by the G6 lines that 36 sailings between the US and Asia would be cancelled from March until May.
