The vessel was bought 14 years ago as Maersk Tasik for $14.5m with a three-year charter back to Maersk at $12,000 per day.
Dalnave has one other 1990s-built bulker, the 73,000-dwt Flipper (built 1999), plus two 82,000-dwt bulkers delivered from Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries in 2012. It also has two 64,000-dwt bulkers on order at Chengxi Shipyard in China for delivery in 2016.
