The 73,000-dwt Rodon (ex-Talisman, built 1993) has gone for demolition in Pakistan. No price has been disclosed but it is expected to have been around $4m.
Excel bought the Talisman in May 2005 for $32.75m.
In January, Star Bulk sold the 70,000-dwt bulker Star Julia (built 1994) for recycling. This was also part of the 34-vessel deal with Excel concluded last August.
