In ship numbers, Holland America Group could be considered the world’s third-largest cruiseship owner.

Unveiled by parent Carnival Corp in late 2013, the group oversees 41 ships across four cruise brands, tens of thousands of employees and billions of dollars in assets.

And the structure has put chief executive Stein Kruse in a prime position to unleash some of the synergies to be found within this large corner of Carnival’s vast operation.
