Life might have been easier for Zim Integrated Shipping Services president and chief executive Rafi Danieli.
After 37 years with the Israeli line, the container shipping veteran offered to step down last July at the end of Zim’s lengthy restructuring process.
Instead, the company’s new shareholders wanted him at the helm to steer Zim through one of the more challenging markets in its history.
