A big upturn in shipping industry legal disputes is reported by Nordisk Skibsrederforening, with many of the cases arising from the bankruptcy of OW Bunker.
The Oslo-based freight, demurrage and defence (FD&D) club experienced the biggest increase in its caseload since the financial crisis of 2008.
Nordisk opened 388 new cases last year with 175, or 45%, directly arising from the failure of OW Bunker.
