The latest dismissal of an appeal in a UK case that aimed to stop shipowners having to pay twice for fuel supplied by the failed OW Bunker group would appear to have brought the legal process to an end — but instead the shipping industry is still mired in a mess.

The appellants in the case over the 75,000-dwt products tanker Res Cogitans (built 2002), which trades in the fleet of Athens-based Product Shipping & Trading (PST), may still seek to take the matter to the Supreme Court.
