Stena Bulk of Sweden has returned to CSSC Offshore & Marine Engineering (CSSC OME) with an order potentially worth around $200m.
It has booked up to five 50,000 dwt, IMO-2 products/chemical tanker newbuildings at the yard — three firm units and two options.
The epoxy-coated vessels are scheduled for delivery between the end of 2017 and into 2018.
TradeWinds is told that the high-specification ships, which will each have 18 tanks, will cost $5m apiece more than standard medium-range (MR) newbuildings.
