A new chemical tanker operation that has burst onto the Turkish shipping scene will have a fleet of eight smaller tankers under its control by the end of this month.
Scot Tanker has acquired the eight vessels that were in the fleet of German shipping company Hamburger Lloyd. No price has been disclosed.
In June, TradeWinds reported that Hamburger Lloyd had failed to tie up financing agreements with banks and the ships were likely to be sold.
