Lemos company Nereus Shipping is understood to be considering the sale of its two oldest suezmaxes, the 150,000-dwt Cosmic and Majestic (both built 2000).
While sources at the company dismissed suggestions the vessels are on the market, leading shipbrokers say they will be available for inspection in Philadelphia during December.
“I imagine these ships will be in cracking condition,” one leading sale-and-purchase (S&P) broker told TradeWinds this week.
