The future of Irano Hind Shipping is under review by its former joint-venture partners, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) and Shipping Corp of India (SCI), in the hope they can continue co-operating with each other now that sanctions against Iran have eased.
Irano Hind, formed in the early 1970s, was supposed to have been wound up and its assets split between IRISL and SCI in 2014, when sanctions made it impossible for the latter to continue as a partner.
