The Netherlands has long been the centre of Europe’s salvage industry and its status has been boosted by an ongoing consolidation process and the formation of mega-salvors in the country.

Smit Salvage, Ardent, Mammoet and Multraship are some of the best-known names in the industry and all base their operations in Holland.
