More large bulkers are set for scrapping as the freight market offers little hope of a quick recovery.
Korea Line Corp (KLC) has sold the 151,000-dwt Anemone (built 1990) to India at $237.5 per ldt, or $4.4m, with options to sell to other countries in the Indian subcontinent.
It was one of five large bulkers involved in a sale-and-leaseback with Mitsubishi Corp that also included the 207,000-dwt Camellia (built 1990).
