A reported 10-ship order at China’s Taizhou Sanfu Shipbuilding has proved to be illusory following financial filings by newly listed Ansheng Shipping.
Standard reference sources list as many as nine 2,400-teu boxships as still under construction at Sanfu for Quanzhou-based Ansheng but financial reports to the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) mention no further newbuilding commitments after the imminent delivery of the 2,400-teu Ci Tong 1 (built 2016).
