As shipping and maritime recruitment firms continue to face strong headwinds moving into yet another challenging year, pockets of business opportunities are still up for grabs — at least for competent specialist recruiters. But recruiters will now have to spend more time and effort to make a placement. Companies have become more specific with their hiring requirements and human resource teams are becoming more active in conducting their own internal searches and referrals.
