Justice AJ Shastri of Gujarat High Court ordered the arrest of the 63,500 dwt Eco (ex-Copenship Eco, built 2013) following a lawsuit filed by ING Bank, which is chasing bunker payments owed to now collapsed OW Bunker.
Court documents show that the bank is seeking to recover $170,000.
Court dictates terms
Justice Shastri said the ship’s owner must lodge around $334,000, including interest and legal costs, to secure the Eco’s release.
