DNB senior vice-president head of shipping Oslo, Bern Blikstad says there are big changes afoot in capital provision for the shipping industry.
“The top-tier companies — Maersk, Teekay, Frontline, Euronav — they can get all the money they want at almost the price they decide,” Blikstad said last week at a London briefing. “The banks, we compete like crazy to lend to these guys — it’s a winner takes all.”
