A “structural change” in ship lending in which “cheap money” appears here to stay is a parting worry for German banker Carsten Wiebers, who is ending 18 years of maritime lending with Kfw IPEX-Bank.
Wiebers spoke with TradeWinds in a recent interview ahead of an internal rotation that will see him become head of aviation and rail at the European lender, to be succeeded in maritime by Holger Apel.
