The agreement requires SMB Offshore to make cash payments totalling $162.8m, of which $149.2m will go to Petrobras, $6.8m to the Brazilian Public Prosecutor’s Office and $6.8m to the Council of Control of Financial Activities.
The first instalment of $142.8m will be payable as of the effective date of the settlement agreement. The two further instalments of $10m each will be due, respectively, one and two years following the effective date of the settlement agreement.
