Indonesian energy giant Pertamina has gone out to providers of LNG floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) for its previously stalled Cilacap power-plant project.

Sources say Pertamina is asking companies to prequalify for the supply of a relatively small FSRU of around 135,000 cbm that would likely supply less than two million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG.

They say the state-run entity wants to buy the unit for the project and that this has prompted at least two FSRU providers to indicate they will not be participating in the upcoming tender.
