As TradeWinds first reported last week, Gener8 is selling the 312,700-dwt Genmar Victory (built 2001) to unidentified buyers for $29m, which is $1m more than it fetched for the sistership 312,000-dwt Genmar Vision (built 2001) just weeks ago.
Gener8 officials declined to comment this week, but market sources say the deal is expected to close within days.
Initial rumours identified Winson Shipping of Taiwan, which bought the Genmar Vision, as the buyer of the Genmar Victory.
