The company has already sold two of its oldest units this year, the 109,000-dwt SKS Tyne and SKS Tana (both built 1996), to Kardeniz of Turkey for $7m each, which is $2m above scrap value.

Consequently, it is likely Jebsen will also seek trading buyers for other vessels among the Hyundai-built sisterships. The Tweed (built 1996) is due for special survey in December.
