Maersk Supply Service’s plan to cut 20 vessels from its fleet in the face of an unprecedented downturn in the market will focus exclusively on older tonnage, says chief executive Jorn Madsen.
The AP-Moller-Maersk division revealed late last week it would phase out the ships over the next 18 months as part of a move that will see hundreds of jobs lost.
