South Korea’s Sinokor Merchant Marine has emerged as the buyer of two LNG carriers aged over 30 years old, bumping up its LNG fleet to nine vessels.
Brokers say Sinokor was the mystery purchaser of Awilco LNG’s two laid-up vessels, the 125,556-cbm WilEnergy (built 1983) and 125,631-cbm WilGas (built 1984).
The two vessels have been in lay-up off Indonesia for 20 and 12 months, respectively.
