Golding, or “Rocket Ron” as he was affectionately known, was a well-respected and much-loved face in an industry he planned to retire from at the end of this year.
A number of brokers turned over their market reports to eulogise the man who one broker described as “hugely popular, enthusiastic, fair, very sociable, helpful, kind and big-hearted”.
“They don’t make them like Ron anymore,” another said.
